SNP's Flynn Clashes with Sunak Over PMQs Turmoil
Accusations of Puerility and Pathos
Flynn Grills Sunak on Israeli Invasion
During Prime Minister's Questions (PMQs) on Wednesday, SNP Westminster leader Stephen Flynn engaged in a heated exchange with Rishi Sunak, accusing the Prime Minister of making puerile and pathetic comments about those advocating for Scottish independence.
Russia, Iran Comparisons
Flynn criticized Sunak for comparing individuals supporting Scottish independence to Russia and Iran, stating that such comparisons were both inaccurate and offensive. The Prime Minister defended his statements, claiming that he had only sought to highlight the potential dangers of "separatism." However, Flynn argued that Sunak's remarks were inflammatory and served only to further divide the UK.
SNP Calls for Answers
Flynn also pressed Sunak on the actions of the police against republican protesters, demanding to know whether the government intended to restrict the right to peaceful protest. Sunak responded by stating that the police had acted within the law, but pledged to review the matter further.
