North Korea's Shrouded Border on Google Maps
A Closer Look at the Russia-North Korea Boundary
173 Kilometres of Terrestrial Border, 221 Kilometres of Nautical Border
According to the official Russian definition, the North Korea-Russia border consists of 173 kilometres (107 miles) of terrestrial border and 221 km (12 nautical miles) of maritime border. The terrestrial border runs along the Tumen River, while the maritime border is located in the Sea of Japan.
Google Maps, however, does not show any details of North Korea's border with Russia. The entire country is shrouded in secrecy, and its borders are not visible on the map. This is likely due to North Korea's strict censorship laws and its desire to maintain its isolation from the rest of the world.
