White House Correspondents Dinner 2023

Biden Delivers Humorous Address at White House Correspondents' Dinner

2023 Event Returns with Fewer Restrictions

President's Jokes Target Trump, Himself, and the Media

Washington, D.C. - President Joe Biden delivered a humorous speech at the annual White House Correspondents' Association Dinner, which returned this year with fewer COVID-19 concerns and no extra tickets to sell.

In his address, Biden poked fun at a wide range of topics, including former President Donald Trump, his own age, and the media.

"I know there are a lot of jokes about my age out there, but I've been around long enough to remember when gas cost a nickel, and milk was delivered by the horse," Biden quipped.

Biden also addressed the ongoing war in Ukraine, saying that the United States and its allies would "not be deterred from defending democracy and freedom."

The White House Correspondents' Dinner is an annual event that brings together politicians, journalists, and celebrities. This year's dinner was the first since 2019 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
